URJA ENERGY

URJA Energy was founded by Mrs. Raka Singh in December 2013. She has been channelizing her efforts towards the betterment of the people especially the women of her ancestral hometown Siswa Bazaar in the districtof Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh, India via URJA Energy. The NGO is run by a group of 9 women and one supervisor who all are locally based, like-minded people. The motive behind starting URJA was to facilitate financial independence and meaningful work and growth opportunities to the women of small towns and villages to combat poverty and to challenge the patriarchal norms which bind women within the boundaries of their houses.

INITIATION OF THE PROJECT

Team meetings were conducted to come up with an action plan for the client.

FUNDRAISING STRATEGIES

A database was created that contained all potential fundraising sources whose requirements were fulfilled by URJA for raising funds.

VOLUNTEERS DATABASE

A data base was created that helped URJA in recruitment of right volunteers.

This ensured smooth functioning of the organisation.

SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGIES

Formulated Strategies to include aesthetic colour grids for the official

instagram handle, making the feed more engaging.

SOLUTIONS PROPOSED

COMPETITOR'S ANALYSIS

Conducted a detailed competitors analysis for URJA to have a better

idea of the direct and indirect players in the market.

CASE FOR SUPPORT

Detailed research was done to highlight the social cause,

initiative, accomplishments etc.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY PITCH

Pitch highlighted the mission and vision of the organisation. In

addition to this it highlighted the major programmes.

HANDING OVER OF THE PROJECT

After the successful completion of the project, a

concluding meeting was organized with the NGO.

A brief feedback meeting was conducted post which the project was handed over to the NGO.
