To identify and tag optimal store locations for EBO expansion of a women’s fashion brand by performing a comprehensive mapping of existing brand and surrogate presence.

OBJECTIVE

We developed a structured mapping framework supported by detailed geo-tagging and comparative location benchmarking to ensure alignment with high-traffic retail environments. The focus was to aid decision-making on optimal EBO placements that balance brand visibility, consumer access, and scalability.

METHODOLOGY

Our insights empowered the client with a precise understanding of India’s top urban retail clusters and offered actionable intelligence for prioritizing EBO expansion. This will support strategic entry and scale-up in high-performing catchment areas, ensuring a competitive edge for the women’s wear brand.

OUTCOME

Our engagement involved the following responsibilities:

SCOPE OF WORK

City-Wise Mapping

Dividing each of the 170 target cities into major commercial locations

such as Lajpat Nagar, Connaught Place (Delhi), Rajouri Garden, and

others to precisely tag stores by locality.

Brand Outlet Mapping

Mapping all EBOs of selected women’s wear brands — including Biba,

W, Fabindia, Aurelia, Go Colors, Global Desi, and others — with specific

tagging to high-footfall zones, clusters, and store counts.

Surrogate Brand Presence Analysis

Identifying locations of deeply penetrated brands like Bata, Dominos,

Titan, Zudio, Reliance Trends, etc., and determining their synergy with

women's wear brand clusters.

Overlap Identification

Highlighting zones where stores of surrogate brands (e.g., Dominos, Titan)

coincide with EBOs of women's wear brands like Biba or Fabindia —

indicating high commercial viability.

Location Profiling

Documented proximity of each store to malls, high streets, residential areas,

and commercial hubs — aiding in prioritization of strategic store locations.

Strategic Expansion Insights

Delivered a structured recommendation framework highlighting optimal

cities and micro-markets for phased EBO rollout, backed by comprehensive

store mapping data.
